I.? Practices have started.?
**** Practice schedules are shown in several locations on the school web site.? Due to the technology used, sports schedules cannot be shown on the home page/ right hand column.? Please go to either
A.? Left hand column, Athletics header and click on either 5/6 basketball, girls basketball, or 7/8 boys basketball.? Each area has a practice schedule (Nov. only right now) and a game schedule.?
B.? Sports Calendar on the right column ( at the very end of the listings) or
C. Left hand column, Athletics, then click on Sports Calendar or
D.? Rams Athletics, upper icon on home page of ELCS web site or

II.? Uniforms and Pictures
Pictures are scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 11 at 2 p.m.?

III.? Tournament
Clarification was made that the tournament scheduled for Nov. 29 - Dec. 1 is the only tournament being held at ELCS.? All other scheduled tournaments are away.? A Lutheran Schools tournament in Conover and the end of season tournament at CCS.
A.? Tournament brochure.? J Arldt will do, N Jankowski will forward team rosters and schedule.
B.? Welcome letter, L Schmelzle will write
C.? Dinners will be served on Thursday night:, Chick-fil-A,?B Williams and/or C Slocumb will do; Friday night, Papa John's Pizza, B Williams will do; Saturday (lunch only), will be hot dogs.? All items will be sold in the hallway outside of the gym, except for Saturday hot dogs.? These will be grilled ( we need a grill ) outdoors in the courtyard.? B Williams will let us know the availability of her canopy for this.
D.? Concessions.? James family will pick up from Sam's concession items for the tournament as well as the hot dog items for Saturday lunch.? Decision was made ?to distribute seat cushions and pom poms to first ELS fans in the gym on all tournament days.
E.? The Booster Club does have admission stamps.? Admission cost will be 5 per adult and 2 per child per day.
F.? Visiting teams will use the Fellowship Hall to store belongings and to rest/ meet during non-playing time.? Someone is needed to supervise this.
G.? N Jankowski and R James are working on the brackets.? NJ will post bracket on wall by music room and RJ will update with pennant signs during the tournament.
H.? NJ has a work schedule and will distribute to all sports families at ELCS.? If you are scheduled and cannot work, you are responsible for filling your time slot with a replacement.
I.? RJ will order trophies
J.? Officials for tournament and for all home games have been scheduled.
?K.? NJ will make certain the elevator is operable for handicapped indivduals who may need access.
IV.? ?Cheerleading Update
T. DeBruhl and N Jankowski will determine game schedule and positioning for tournament dates.
V.? Game schedule?
NJ is working now on scheduling more games for season.? Continue checking the web site for these updates.
VI.? Athletic Fees
NJ is still collecting the Athletic Fees for winter sports.?
VII.? Family Passes
NJ will check with L Schmelzle on status of Booster / Family passes for sports
VIII.? Banner Program
Lisa Causer with the PTL has taken over the Banner Program, all proceeds will still go to the Booster Club.? Proceeds from the PTL spaghetti Dinner will still go to Booster Club, PTL will need volunteers for this.
?IX.? Officers
C. Slocumb is Treasurer, A. James secretary, R James Vice President and N Jankowski President.? NJ will review By -Laws, including job descriptions, and will bring to next meeting.
?X.? Float
This year ELCS will have a float in the Asheville Christmas (Holiday) parade, celebrating?our 50th Anniversary.? Please let NJ know if your child will participate, wearing the uniform of the sport they are representing, and children will meet at West Gate, 12:30, on Saturday November 17.? NJ will place notice in Good News.
