III. Financial Status
A. A financial report was furnished by Slocumb, ending balance is shown as 7,261.55; however recent expenditures which time did not allow including on printed report amount to approximately 280.00.
B. Golf Team shirts are covered by the 40.00 Athletic Fee as Crowne Plaza is not charging greens fees for use of the course. It was suggested that they receive a complimentary banner for this service.
IV. By-Laws
A. A copy of the preliminary by-laws was distributed to all present. It is requested that all review and make notes and suggestions for changes by May 10. These notes are to be given to a sub-committee of James, Jankowski and Schmelzle ( via e-mail or hard copy ). The sub-committee will then submit a draft to the Emmanuel Lutheran Parish Administration Team and the School Ministry Team as all organizations must be in compliance with church policies and procedures. It is hoped that an approval will be given by the church prior to the beginning of the 2008-2009 school year.
V. Athletic Banquet
A. Jankowski has secured food service for the banquet; it will be asked that each attendee donate 5.00 per head to help cover cost.
B. Table, chair, equipment set up will be done by the eighth grade class and/ or Randy. Decorations will be done by James and Slocumb.
C. Clean up will be done by Williams; more individuals are needed for this task.
D. Slideshow will be done by Jankowski, music furnished by James
E. Jankowski will send out invitations to the athletes and their families in Wednesday?s packets.
VI. Nominations for 2008-2009 officers
A. Nominations were given by those present for Officers. Jankowski will contact each to see if they are willing to serve and ballots will be distributed during the banquet for voting. Elected Officers will meet prior to the end of school to schedule meetings for the next year.

B. It was determined that at Forms and Fees Day, a brochure with complete information on the Booster Club will be passed out to all parents of athletes and interested parties. A cook out is scheduled for August 15 to review the Booster Club activities and plans for the year. All families will be invited.
VII. New Business
A. Some dates were shared for the coming year?s athletic events:
Conference Athletic Social will be held on September 6 location TBA
First Volleyball game on September 2
A mid -season Volleyball Tournament will be scheduled for mid September and held at ELS
October 27,28, 29 and 30 will be the conference Volleyball Tournament
October 31 and November 1 will be the conference Soccer Tournament
December 5 and 6 will be the annual ELS Pre-Season basketball Tournament
