Booster Meeting – November 17, 2009

a. All schedules are on the website – always check the calendar first for any updates
b. Cheer – we are thankful that the older kids are being able to work at it, very excited about it
c. Basketball – girls we had only 4 kids signed up and we have ten know
d. Basketball – boys, they are being work at right now, as season starts our practices will be
e. Support our teams
V. Tournament - December 3rd – 5th
Tournament to Do List:
Tournament is the biggest fundraiser BOOSTER puts together. We need all families to help out.
1. Mrs. Jankowski will not be here – people to go to for information or concerns will be Jim Reaves, Rhonda Puckett, and Rodney James
2. Tournament Programs - Mr. Lintz will put together
a. Put in programs what will be serving for concessions
3. Setting up the gym – chairs, bleachers, table for admissions, water jugs, trash cans by water jugs
4. Concession Items – Setting concession for each day (Thursday, Friday and Saturday) Rhonda Puckett
a. Pop corn / Nachos
b. Candy – ideas on candy – What do we have?
c. Dinner – Thursday ?, Friday? Dinner deals – Chick-fila, BBQ sandwiches, any suggestions
i. Rhonda Puckett will ask about Chick Fila – Thursday – Pizza
ii. Friday - BBQ – Fisher will see $5.00
iii. Pizza @ all of the times – Jim will call and order
d. Lunch – Saturday ? Cookout - Hot dogs, hamburgers
e. Coffee (pay for the first one and refill are free), hot chocolate, and hot water– Saturday am
f. Muffins for the morning – Saturday – Atlanta Bread Company – Elizabeth Culbertson
i. Biscuits Bogangles – Mrs. Woody
g. Drinks – Gatorade, water, soda…
5. Admissions: $4 adult, $1 students
a. Tournament pass ? $10 for three days, $6 for two days
6. Brackets and Times of Games – Will be available at the end of the week
7. Ice bags – for each day – Nancy Harrington
8. Get enough paper towels, extra trash bags – important that someone is in charge of this
a. Becky Swatzell will be in charge – in Randy’s office
9. PA System – Music – turning on the music between games – Jerry – Nancy will give music
10. Do we need to have someone do the anthem – someone to talk to girls and boy scouts
a. Girls Scout present flags and boys scouts – Nancy will ask
b. Nancy will ask the schools if someone for the anthems
11. Scoreboard – Eugene will help, MJ will help also
12. Basketball Book – will be done
13. Work schedule – went around the room – will be posted on the website
14. Spaghetti Dinner – March – Need someone to be in charge of this – another big fundraiser for Boosters
a. The money will be used to paint the gym and fix the gym floor
b. Debra Woody, Teresa DeBruhl, Sheri Reaves – will be in charge
